Barnet FC’s latest match succumbed to the weather this weekend as their clash with Crewe Alexendra was postponed.

The EFL League Two game, scheduled for 3pm on Sunday afternoon was called off that morning due to what the club described as a “partially frozen pitch” at The Hive.

In a statement on their website, Barnet FC said: “Despite the ground staff’s best efforts the pitch has been deemed unplayable.

They added: “We’d like to apologise to those who made the journey from Cheshire to be at today’s game. All tickets purchased will remain valid for the rearranged fixture.”

The Bees are currently 11th in League Two having won their last two games.
