North London Grammar School received this year’s Independent Schools Association (ISA) Award for International Provision

A Barnet independent school has received an award for an annual initiative that “celebrates diversity, intercultural understanding, and global collaboration”.
North London Grammar School, which is based in Edgware, received this year’s Independent Schools Association (ISA) Award for International Provision for its International Greenwich Olympiad (IGO).
The school describes the IGO as “a vibrant international platform, uniting over 500 students from 53 countries in project-based scientific and creative challenges.”
It involves students raising national flags and sharing traditional performances, alongside scientific and non-scientific innovation projects that showcase their creativity and talent. This is followed by an award ceremony recognising their achievements.
Reflecting on the role of the initiative, the school’s headteacher, Mr Adak, said: “At North London Grammar School, we believe that education extends far beyond the classroom. The International Greenwich Olympiad reflects our commitment to nurturing curiosity, intercultural understanding, and leadership in our students.
On the news that the school had received the award, he added: “Receiving the ISA Award for International Provision is a proud moment for our entire school community, and we are deeply grateful to the team, students and partners who make this global initiative possible.”
