Firefighters were called to the house in Weirdale Avenue in the early house of Saturday morning

A man has died following a house fire in Whetstone on Saturday.
Firefighters were called to the scene in Weirdale Avenue shortly after 1am on Saturday morning.
Most of the ground and first floors of the house were damaged and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a man via an internal staircase using a fire escape hood.
Two men were taken to hospital by ambulance, where one later died.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by both London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police.
