Barnet’s motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn’t too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M1, from 9pm 19th May to 6am 14th June, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for Boundary fencing works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm 9th June to 5.30am 10th June, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closure for drainage works.

• M1, from 10pm 10th June to 5.30am 11th June, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for drainage works.

• M1, from 9pm 17th June to 6am 12th July, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closure for boundary fence repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
