Catherine Lusted on a mystery for Barnet’s children to solve

Something strange is happening around Barnet. Books are disappearing and a mysterious Book Crook is on the loose. They love to read but want all the books for themselves and won’t share! Join the ‘Barnet Book Detectives’ and help Detective Woof pick up the scent.

Children aged 4 -11 will emBARK on a reading journey, helping the detective chase the Book Crook, who has been leaving clues at libraries and locations around the borough of Barnet. For every book they read, children will get a special pawprint stamp in their reading journal and will receive clues from library staff to help reveal the culprit.

By reading six books over the summer holidays, children will solve the mystery and receive a certificate and other rewards for completing the challenge. They’ll also be entered into a very special prize draw.
