Drivers in and around Barnet will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M1, from 9pm 19th May to 6am 14th June, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for Boundary fencing works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm 27th May to 6am 31st May, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 6 to junction 1, Lane and carriageway closure for Surfacing works, diversion via Local Authorities network.

• M1, from 10pm 3rd June 3 to 5.30am 4th June, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for drainage works.

• M1, from 10pm 9th June to 5.30am 10th June, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 2, Lane closures for drainage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
