70 firefighters tackled the blaze in Hadley Green Road this morning

70 firefighters in ten fire engines were needed to tackle a fire at a house in Barnet this morning.
Firefighters were called to the scene in Hadley Green Road shortly after 1:00 am this morning after the roof, first and ground floors of a detached house caught fire.
A turntable ladder was used at the scene as a water tower to tackle the blaze from above and the fire was under control shortly before 5:00 am, however crews remained at the house this morning damping down hot spots.
The structure of the house, which is undergoing refurbishment, suffered a partial collapse but there are no reports of any injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
