Drivers in and around Barnet will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A1, from 11pm April 4th to 5.30am April 9th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 northbound, junction Rowley Lane to junction Bignells corner, Lane closures for Weather station works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 9pm April 7th to 6am April 17th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane and hard shoulder closure for Boundary fence repairs.

• M1, from 10pm April 15th to 5am April 16th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, slip road and carriageway closure for Urgent carriageway repairs, diversion via Local Authorities network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
