Barnet libraries run a range of activities for under-fives to support early learning and development. FREE weekly ‘Rhyme Time’ sessions run in all libraries during term time.

A specialist early years team delivers a bespoke activity programme which must be prebooked. Please scan the QR code below to find more details and booking information for these activities:

‘Baby Bounce and Play’ sessions are for non-walking babies and involve gentle singing, movement, books and engaging activities that will stimulate your baby’s senses and encourage their development. Sessions run at multiple libraries and cost £3.00. We also invite expectant mums to come along and experience a FREE session before baby is born. Please book a ‘Mum with Bump’ ticket.

‘Play Club’ and ‘Toddler Time‘ sessions are aimed at families with children aged 1 – 4 years.

Children can engage in various activities designed to support all aspects of early learning. Play Club runs at Chipping Barnet Library and is particularly focussed on physical play. Toddler Time sessions run at Finchley Church End and Colindale libraries. All sessions cost £3.00.
