David Pinto-Duschinsky reflects on 2024 and looks ahead to 2025

As 2024 draws to a close, I want to take a moment to wish you and your families a very happy holiday season. Whether you’re celebrating Christmas, Chanukah or simply enjoying a well-deserved break, I hope the end of the year brings with it peace, joy, and relaxation.
This has been an often difficult year but one that has also reinforced for me the value of community and the shared bonds that bind us all. It’s been my honour over the past year to meet so many inspirational people who volunteer their time and dedicate their lives to helping others in our community. I wanted to say thank you to everybody who works so hard across our communities to make this such a fantastic place. Thank you so much for all you do.
And as we spend time with our loved ones over the holiday season, I want to pay special tribute to all those who will be working hard throughout the holiday period to keep things working, keep us safe and make the season so special.
Our emergency workers. Our police officers. Our health and social care workers – ambulance drivers, doctors, nurses, and A&E staff. And that’s not to mention people in Hendon who are approaching the very busiest time in their year. I’m thinking in particular of retail and hospitality workers, and the postal workers. They all deserve our gratitude.
But most of all, I wanted to say thank you to you, the people of our community for electing me to represent you. It is the honour of my life to serve you and I will work hard every day to repay your trust.
I’ve only been in post a few months but already, I have completed or am working on over three thousand cases helping local people across our area and have held numerous surgeries in every part of the constituency.
In 2025, I will continue to work to deliver the change that our area and our country voted for and to build a better future for us all. That change won’t happen overnight. But I am more determined than ever to deliver for you and be the local champion our area deserves.
Please do get in touch if there’s any way I can help. It will always be a pleasure to hear from you.
I hope you all have a wonderful festive season and a very happy New Year. I’m sure I will see many of you over the coming year. Wishing you a very happy holidays.
