Monday 24th September is the last day to hand in soon-to-be illegal knives at Colindale Police Station

People in Barnet who currently legally possess zombie-style knives and machetes can hand them in at Colindale police station (NW9 5TW) without fear of prosecution until Monday 23 September.
Zombie-style knives and machetes will be illegal from Tuesday 24th September and anyone found in possession of one could be prosecuted.
The ban includes bladed weapons with:
- a plain cutting edge
- a sharp pointed end, and
- a blade of over eight inches long
Which also has one or more of the following:
- a serrated cutting edge over two inches long
- more than one hole in the blade
- spikes
- more than two sharp points in the blade
