Job Overview:

We are searching for a dynamic and spiritually driven individual to join our ministry as a Minister of Religion. The role is pivotal in leading Church services by providing spiritual guidance to members of the congregation and community at large, offers counselling and welfare support to members of the church and performs Church related activities associated with religious beliefs and practices. If you have a deep commitment to ministry, strong leadership qualities, and a passion for serving others, we invite you to apply.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Lead, prepare, and deliver sermons to the congregation.
  • Lead and mentor the pastoral team and core leaders.
  • Lead and oversee community initiative and projects including any missionary work.
  • To oversee the youth Cell group meetings across the North London area by particularly \targeting the youth from the African descent 
  • Oversee and observe the activities of other pastors and volunteers including conducting any HR activities.
  • Conduct blessings including marriages, funerals, baptisms, and other special religious activities.
  • Provide and arrange the provision of religious instruction to congregation members.
  • Provide pastoral care to members of the congregation in their homes and in hospitals and counsels those in need of spiritual or moral guidance.

Skills and Qualifications:

The Minister of Religion at High Praise Chapel must possess the below skills and Qualification.

  • Must have made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savoir and must demonstrate the reality of that relationship through his life and testimony. 
  • Must have served in a senior leadership role for at least two years. 
  • Must possess a degree or training or any other qualification in theology. 
  • Must have practical theological experience of not less than 3 years.  
  • Must have ministry experience in working with adults, and the ability to relate to them on a personal and spiritual level. 
  • Must have a strong and consistent Biblical teaching ability and be able to effectively communicate God’s work in various settings. 
  • Must be creative and highly organized and must be able to effectively manage multiple priorities and assignments. 
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and must have the ability to master the Church P.C. programs including Microsoft Office products. 
  • Must have proven interpersonal and conflict management skills and be able to successfully execute the Vision, Policies, and Practices of High Praise Chapel
  • Must be able to sing and lead congregational worship or must be able to play at least one musical instrument.
