Hadley Football Club is “incredibly grateful” after securing £45,000 in funding from Barnet Council to help upgrade their changing rooms.

The football club, based in High Barnet, successfully bid for the £45,000 amount with support from local ward councillor Paul Edwards.

The money will go towards building a new “fit for purpose” away changing room and a larger indoor fan area for refreshments and merchandise to “improve the spectator experience”.

Responding to the news, Steve Gray, chairman of Hadley Football Club, said: “Everyone at the football club is incredibly grateful to Cllr Edwards for all his help in securing this money for our new changing room project.

“The project will ensure our facilities are fit for the future, and to have support from Cllr Edwards and Barnet Council is invaluable to a community club like ours.”

Cllr Paul Edwards said: “Hadley FC are at the heart of High Barnet life and it’s great the council can help them to go from strength to strength.”
