A Labour councillor has welcomed the Mayor of London’s decision to trial a new bus route between Golders Green and Stamford Hill.

The 310 route will run from Golders Green, towards Hampstead, before driving over to the Whittington Hospital, Crouch Hill, Manor House and Stamford Hill. The service will initially run from Saturday 31st August for 12 months to allow for feedback.

The route will link two of the largest Jewish communities in Europe, and has been a priority for the Jewish community for many years.

Labour’s Matthew Perlberg, a ward councillor for Childs Hill, where the bus will terminate at Golders Green Bus Station, said: “This bus will link up many families. During the consultation period I will be letting Tfl Know that we need to keep this service, and I urge all my ward residents to do so as well.”

The consultation will be at https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/ once the trial has commenced on 31st August.
