Barnet’s motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm July 16th to 5am July 17th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 1, carriageway closure for CAT1 loops, diversion via Local Authorities roads.

• M1, from 11pm July 19th to 5am July 20th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closures for removal of signs.

• A1, from 9pm July 20th to 11am July 21st, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 3, carriageway closure and slip road closures for waterproofing and surfacing works, diversion via TFL roads.

• M1, from 9.30am to 11am on July 21st, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 3, Lane closures for waterproofing works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
