Barnet’s motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And they are all are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M1, from 10pm May 28th to 5.30am June 30th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 5 to junction 1, Lane and carriageway closure for surfacing works, diversion via Local Authorities roads.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm June 24th to 5am June 25th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 5 to junction 1, Lane, carriageway and slip road closure for Urgent carriageway repairs.

• A1, from 10pm July 8th to 6am July 13th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1(M) northbound, junction 1 to junction 3, Lane closures, slip road closure and carriageway closure for concrete repair works, diversion via National Highways and local authority roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
