Barnet’s motorists will have two road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn’t too bad, with both of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm May 21st to 5am May 22nd, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closure for technology replacement works.

• M1, from 10pm May 23rd to 6am May 25th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction London Gateway Services to junction 4, Lane closure fort CCTV Upgrade works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
