Two floors of a house in Colindale were damaged by a fire yesterday.

Most of the ground floor and first floor of a semi-detached house on Braemar Gardens were damaged by the blaze, which also caused significant damage to a neighbouring property.

Ten people left the building before the fire brigade arrived and there were no reported injuries.

London Fire Brigade received the first of 20 calls alerting it to the fire shortly after 8.30pm last night and the fire was under control shortly before 10pm.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
