Road closures: three for Barnet drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Barnet will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm April 15th to 5am April 20th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for barrier works.

• A1, from 10pm April 15th to 5.30am April 17th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 5, carriageway and slip road closure for resurfacing -, diversion via Local Authorities roads.

• M1, from 10pm April 22nd to 6am April 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 5 to junction 1, Lane and carriageway closure for surfacing works, diversion via Local Authorities roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
