Barnet’s motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• A1, from 10pm March 13 to 5am March 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1M northbound, junction A5135 to junction Rowley Lane, Lane closure for survey works.

• M1, from 10pm March 21 to 5am March 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway Services, slip road closure for electrical works, diversion Via National Highways roads.

• M1, from 10pm March 21 to 5am March 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway to junction 2, Lane closures for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
