Barnet’s motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm February 19th to 5am February 20th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closure for electrical emergency works.

• M1, from 10pm February 20th to 5am February 22nd, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm February 20th to 5am February 22nd, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closure for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm February 20th to 5am February 22nd, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 slip road, slip road closure for electrical works, diversion VIia National Highways roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
