West Hendon Councillor Andreea Bilbow praised the works on The Hyde in West Hendon

A Labour councillor has praised action to tackle potholes beginning in her ward next week.
The work to fill in potholes on The Hyde in West Hendon will begin during the week beginning February 19th. Barnet Labour councillors cite this as part of the council’s additional investment in potholes, which began with an increase of £8 million from July 2023, and will see a £97 million programme of bringing roads up to standard running until 2029.
West Hendon councillor Andrea Bilbow said: “Dealing with potholes is a priority for residents and I am pleased that The Hyde will receive attention next week.”
Earlier this month, research covering the period from 2012 onwards described Barnet as Britain’s worst local authority area for potholes.
