Mill Hill Finches girls’ cricket team winter training programme open for bookings

Mill Hill Finches, a new girls’ cricket team open to all ages and all abilities, begins a six-week winter training programme on Saturday, 17th February. 

The team is a new partnership between Mill Hill Village Cricket Club and Finchley Cricket Club that aims to bolster the girls’ game in the area. The sessions take place at Henrietta Barnett School in Hampstead Garden Suburb from 4.30-6.30pm. 

Coach Anisha Dissanayake (Middlesex CC, Sunrisers) said: “The six-week winter training programme is a great opportunity for girls to try out a new sport, learn new skills and also meet other girls that love cricket!” Dissanayake has been a coach at Finchley Cricket Club since 2020 and is also an ambassador for Take Her Lead, the non-profit organisation championing women and girls in cricket founded by Isa Guha, the former England international and commentator. 

Mill Hill Finches winter training Dates: Saturday 17th February until Saturday 23rd March, inclusive 

Duration: Six consecutive weeks. 

Timings: 4:30pm to 6:30pm 

Venue: The Henrietta Barnett School, Central Square, London NW11 7BN

There is an option to purchase Pay as you Go type sessions, which are £10 each. The other option is to buy a pack of six sessions, which is £50.
