Barnet’s motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm January 22nd to 5am January 24th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 3 to junction 1, Lane closure for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm January 22nd to 5am January 24th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane and slip road closurefor electrical works, diversion via National Highways roads.

• M1, from 10pm January 25th to 5.30am January 27th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closure for boundary fencing works.

• M1, from 10pm January 29th to 5am January 30th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, carriageway closure for joint investigations, diversion via Local Authorities roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
