St Barnabas Foodbank ask you to drop an item into a box for the foodbank each day before Christmas

St. Barnabas Foodbank in North Finchley is raising the curtain on a Reverse Foodbank Advent Calendar challenge this December.

Instead of opening a calendar window each day, the Foodbank is challenging locals to find a box and each day of advent to drop in an item to help those struggling.

Items they suggest are:

Tinned meat
Tinned fish
Tinned vegetables
Tinned fruit
Tinned soup
UHT milk
Packet of pasta
Pasta sauce
Rice
Box of cereal
Biscuits

Tea
Coffee
Sugar
Toothpaste
Deodorant
Shower gel
Soap
Shampoo
Sanitary pads
Baby Wipes
Toilet paper
Washing up liquid

When your box is ready, drop it off at St Barnabas Church, 913 High Road, North Finchley, N12 8QL before Christmas.
