Finchley man charged after allegations he racially abused police officers

Police claim Louis Lillington of Ballards Lane shouted abuse at officers while he was being held in custody in Colindale

A Finchley man has been charged with a racially aggravated public order offence following an incident while he was in custody last week.

Louis Lillington, 49, of Ballards Lane was charged on Tuesday (November 14th) in relation to allegations that he shouted Islamophobic and other racist abuse at detention officers while he was being held in Colindale. 

He was charged with a racially aggravated Public Order Act offence as well as causing actual bodily harm (ABH) and criminal damage. 

He appeared at North West London Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (14th) where he was bailed. He will appear at the same court on Tuesday 5th December.
