Barnet Fostering is looking for people who could foster groups of siblings to help keep brothers and sisters together

Barnet Fostering is looking for support from people in the community to help keep brothers and sisters together..
Siblings are often separated when they enter the foster care system. Keeping brothers and sisters together in a foster family is the best practice and often provides comfort and a sense of belonging at what can be a very difficult time. Children are more likely to settle and support each other if they are kept with their siblings, especially if they have a close emotional bond.
Fostering siblings can make a big difference in children’s lives and in the lives of those who foster them. Barnet residents interested in giving brothers and sisters a stable home together, should contact Barnet fostering team on 0208 359 6274 or [email protected].
A dedicated social worker will assist interested potential foster carers through the process and provide support and guidance needed to meet the needs of the children and enable them to remain together.
