Drivers in and around Barnet will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm November 13th to 5.30am November 17th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 slip road, slip road closure for OOH works, diversion via National Highways roads.

• A1, from 10pm November 20th to 5.30am November 21st, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2, entry slip road closure for concrete repairs, diversion via TFL roads.

• M1, from 10pm November 21st to 5am November 22nd, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 entry slip road, slip road closure, diversion via National Highways roads.

• M1, from 11pm November 24th to 5am November 25th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 3 slip road, slip road closure for electrical works, diversion via National Highways roads.

• M1, from 10pm November 27th to 5am December 2nd, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for barrier works.

• M1, from 10pm November 27th to 5am December 2nd, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closure for barrier works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads are not included in their schedule.
