Man charged with murder after Burnt Oak death

A man has been charged with murder after a man died following an incident outside Burnt Oak underground station.

Gabriel Silvera, 19, of Uxbridge Road, Pinner was charged on Tuesday (7th November) with the murder of Dragos Carabineanu, who died following an assault on Friday 27th October. 

Silvera, who was arrested on Monday, will appear in custody at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Dragos was brought into St Mary’s Hospital in central London for treatment shortly after 5am on Saturday 28th October causing hospital staff to alert police. He remained in hospital and died of his injuries on Wednesday 1st November. 

The incident took place shortly before midnight on Friday 27th October outside Burnt Oak underground station on Watling Avenue. 

Further arrests have been made in connection with the investigation. A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of theft on Thursday 2nd November. He was taken to a north London police station and bailed to return in mid-January 2024.

A 38-year-old woman was arrested on Friday 3rd November on suspicion of theft. She was taken to a north London police station and bailed to return in early February 2024.
