Drivers in and around Barnet will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And seven of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
- A1, from 10pm October 28 to 5.30am October 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1M northbound, junction 1 to junction 3, carriageway closure for concrete repair works, diversion via National Highways and Local Authorities roads.
And a further eight closures will begin over the next two weeks:
- M1, from 10pm October 30 to 5am November 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction London Gateway, Lane closures for electrical works.
- M1, from 10pm October 30 to 5am November 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway to junction 1, Lane closures for electrical works.
- M1, from 10pm October 31 to 5am November 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway to junction 2, Hard shoulder closure for electrical works.
- A1, from 10pm November 2 to 5.30am November 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2, exit slip road closure for concrete investigations, diversion via National Highways and TFL roads.
- A1, from 11pm November 3 to 6am November 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2, entry slip road closure for concrete repairs, diversion via TFL roads.
- A1, from 10pm November 7 to 5am November 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1 southbound, junction 1 to junction Borehamwood, Lane closure and slip road closure for barrier works, diversion via TFL roads.
- M1, from 10pm November 13 to 6am November 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 5 to junction 1, carriageway closure for testing works, diversion via Local Authorities roads.
- M1, from 10pm November 13 to 5.30am November 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 slip road, slip road closure for OOH works, diversion via National Highways roads.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
