Man charged with raping a woman in Finchley over 30 years ago

A man has been charged with raping a women in Finchley over 30 years ago.

Lester Jackson, 54, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with one count of rape. 

The defendant, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday 8th November.

The offence is alleged to have happened at an address in Finchley in 1989. The charge follows an investigation by the Metropolitan Police.
