Dimensions in Sampson Avenue was awarded a ‘requires improvement’ rating by the CQC on September 15th report Will Grimond, Data Reporter and David Floyd

A care home has been found to be in need of improvement in Barnet.
The Care Quality Commission gives ratings to care providers and other organisations across England. It rates how well the service is performing against various criteria – with overall rankings ranging from ‘outstanding’ to ‘inadequate’.
The latest data from the CQC shows Dimensions in Sampson Avenue – a residential care home – was awarded a ‘requires improvement’ rating on September 15th. Its latest inspection was on July 12th.
A ‘requires improvement’ rating means a service is not performing as well as it should, and will be given information by the CQC on how to improve.
A spokesperson for Dimensions – a not-for-profit organisation that provides housing for adults with learning disabilities and autism across the country told Barnet Post: “We were disappointed to receive this rating and accept the findings in full. A robust action plan is now in place, with close scrutiny from senior managers.”
They added: “We were pleased that relatives spoken to by the inspector described the staff as friendly, helpful and caring, and felt people were protected from avoidable harm.”
