Barnet drivers face three sets of delays on the M1 and A1 this week reports Will Grimond, Data Reporter

Drivers in and around Barnet will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm September 25 to 6am September 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closure for NRTS works.

• M1, from 10pm October 2 to 5am October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane 3,2 closure for barrier works.

• A1, from 10pm October 9 to 5.30am October 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1(M) northbound, junction 1 to junction 3, Lane closure, slip road closure and carriageway closure for concrete repair works, diversion via National Highways and local authority roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads are not included in their schedule.
