Barnet drivers face four sets of delays on the M1 and A1 this week reports Marieta Marinova, Data Reporter
Barnet’s motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• M1, from 10pm September 14th to 5am September 20th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 4, carriageway and slip road closure, diversion via TFL roads.
• M1, from 11pm September 15th to 5am September 16th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 3, Lane closures for urgent sign renewal.
• M1, from 10pm September 20th to 5am September 23rd, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 1, carriageway closure, entry slip road closure and lane closures for maintenance works, diversion via TFL roads.
• A1, from 10pm September 20 to 6am September 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2, entry slip road closure for concrete repairs, diversion via TFL roads.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads are not included in their schedule.
