A 20-year-old man will appear in court today charged with the murder of an 18-year-old Enfield man in Finchley last week.

Tyrese Jennings, of Litchfield Grove N3, is the third person to be charged with the murder of Yusuf Mohamoud, along with two 15-year-old boys who cannot be named because of their age.

Jennings, previously known as [C], was arrested yesterday and will appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today. He is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

The two 15-year-olds boys, known as [A] and [B] were charged with Yusuf’s murder on Friday August 11th and appeared in custody at Willesden Youth Court on Saturday. They are due to appear at the Old Bailey today.

Police launched a murder investigation last week after they were called to reports of a stabbing in Regents Park Road in the Dollis Park area of Finchley on Monday 7th August.

Yusuf, who was found seriously injured outside a supermarket, was treated by ambulance services but died at the scene. A post-mortem carried out last week confirmed he died of a stab wound.

Detectives continue to appeal for anyone with information about the incident, or who was in the area between 21:00hrs and 22:00hrs on Monday, 7th August, to come forward.

Anyone who can help the investigation is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 7779/07Aug. You can also report information online and tweet @MetCC.
