Drivers in and around Barnet will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M1, from 10pm July 10th to 6am July 22th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 5 to junction 1, carriageway and lane closure for surfacing works, diversion via Local authorities.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm July 18th to 5am July 19th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction London gateway, Lane closure for CAT 1 concrete wall repair.

• M1, from 10pm July 19th to 5am July 20th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closure for NRTS works.

• M1, from 10pm July 27th to 5am July 28th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for ERT investigation.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads are not included in their schedule.
