Road closures: eight for Barnet drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Barnet will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this fortnight.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that eight closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm June 19 to 5am June 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 2, Lane closure for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm June 21 to 5am June 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane closures for barrier repairs.

• M1, from 10pm June 21 to 5.30am June 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for joint investigation works.

• M1, from 10pm June 22 to 5.30am June 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closures for Joint investigation works.

• M1, from 11pm June 23 to 6am June 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closures for joint investigation works.

• M1, from 11pm June 23 to 6am June 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for joint investigation works.

• M1, from 10pm June 29 to 6am July 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 4, carriageway and entry slip road closures for resurfacing works. Diversion via A41,A1,A41 Watford By Pass to junction 4 HA_DR63.

• M1, from 10pm June 29 to 5am June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 2, Lane closure for CAT1 safety fence repair.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads are not included in their schedule.
