Brigid Falconer of Community Plot @ Whetstone Stray Allotments on a day of workshops and walks

Eco Celebration Day takes place on Saturday 24th June from 10:30 to 4pm at The Community Plot at Whetstone Stray Allotments.
You can join in a workshop or drop in at any time during the day to:
Explore the Community Plot -an organic growing and wellbeing space for mental health
View ‘More than Human’ sculpture, by environmental artist Becky Lyon (more information here).
Learn about supporting pollinators with Finchley N3, N12 Pollinator Project
In the morning, you can join Alison of Re:New crafts to make a recycled bee hotel (while stocks last).
At 10:30 there will be a guided Mindfulness in Nature meditation, followed by a nature walk through the allotment site and woods, identifying plants, trees and birds. You will also learn how to report any concerns about waterways. We will walk back along the Greenwalk to the Community Plot.
After lunch, provided by Terri’s Foods, there will be workshops : Introduction to Growing with Nature & Know Your Weeds and Eat Them led by Community Plot wildlife gardener, Les Moore.
Come outside and celebrate with us at the Eco Celebration Day for Mayor of London weekend! We can’t wait to see you there.
All activities and refreshments are free, but please book as we need numbers for catering.
