Drivers in and around Barnet will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M1, from 10pm May 30 to 5.30am June 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 1, carriageway closure, lane closures and entry slip road closures for urgent surveys, diversion via TFL roads.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm June 7 to 6am June 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 3, Lane closure for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm June 12 to 5am June 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway Services to junction 1, Lane closures for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm June 19 to 5am June 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 2, Lane closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads is not included in their schedule.
