Do you have an interest in archaeology?

Hendon and District Archaeology Society (HADAS) is looking for new members.

For £15 per year (concessions apply) you will receive a monthly newsletter keeping you up to date with archaeological matters relating to the borough and beyond and you can attend our lectures for free which are held at Stephens House and Gardens, East End Road, Finchley.   The next ones are scheduled for:

Tuesday 12th September –  speaker Mike Noronha (Barnet Museum): “The Battle of Barnet Survey and Project“

Tuesday 14th November – speaker Kris Lockyear: “Mapping Verulamium“

As a member you can even have the opportunity of participating in our occasional digs.  In recent years we have dug at Hopscotch in High Barnet, Market Place in Finchley, Clitterhouse Farm in Cricklewood, Hendon School and at Stephens House.

We will have a Stand at the Barnet Medieval Festival on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th  June and are hoping to host an Open Day at Stephens House on  Saturday 16th September showing some of our finds, information about what we do and also activities for children.

More information is available on our website or you can email [email protected]
