Lodge Lane N12 has been part of a pilot scheme to introduce Play Streets across Barnet since March 2023.

On the last Sunday of every month until September , our road is closed to traffic between 3 and 5pm so that we can become a sociable, safe street again, without traffic and with games for children and adults to play.

To be able to stand in our street and chat safely has been wonderful, and allowed us some respite from the continual traffic down our narrow road. If this scheme is successful, the council will allow it to be rolled out across the borough.

We have had people come from quite far to join in and observe, with a huge amount of positive feedback and interest.
