A man has been charged with manslaughter after a man died last week following an assault in Edgware.
Marian Cioclu, 39, died in hospital on Thursday 23rd March following the assault on Sunday 19th March on Station Road. His family has been informed.
Police were called to the incident at 3pm after reports of a man suffering a serious head injury . He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Fabian Botcha, also 39, of Manor Park Gardens, Edgware was initially charged with causing grievous bodily harm on Thursday – the charge was amended to manslaughter following Marian Cioclu’s death.
Botcha appeared in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court and will next appear at the Old Bailey on Monday 24th April.
