Firefighters used a ladder to reach the second floor premises reports David Floyd
Two women were treated for smoke inhalation after escaping a fire at a flat in North Finchley on Saturday
25 firefighters tackled the fire in the second floor flat in High Road, North Finchley, which is believed to have been caused by the heating system at the premises.
One woman was rescued from the second floor flat by firefighters using a ladder, while another was led to safety from a first floor flat via an external staircase. They were both treated by ambulance crews.
The fire brigade was called to the property at around 10am and the fire was under control shortly after 11.30.
