Special Constable charged with rape

A Metropolitan Police Special Constable based with the North West Command Unit, which includes Barnet, has been charged with rape.

Special Constable Paul Hoile was arrested on Wednesday 6th July in connection with an incident in Newport, Shropshire and was charged on Friday 8th July.

He appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was remanded in custody.

The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards is aware of the case and the officer has been suspended.
