The service has been suspended for over two years due to Covid-19 By Barnet Post
Night Tube service to and from High Barnet resume tonight
Night Tube services on the Northern Line will restart tonight for the first time since they were suspended in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Transport for London describes the reinstatement of the service as a demonstration of London’s recovery from the pandemic being driven by a safe and reliable public transport network “serving the city night and day”.
Night Tube services returned on the Central and Victoria lines in November 2021 and on the Jubilee line in May this year. Tube use is currently at 72 per cent of pre-pandemic levels.
Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan celebrated the news saying: “This is another landmark moment in the capital’s recovery from the pandemic – and fantastic news for Londoners and visitors who want to enjoy the capital’s incredible nightlife, safe in the knowledge that they will be able to get the Northern line home.
“It means that Night Tube services have now returned on the Central, Victoria and Jubilee lines, delivering not only a huge economic boost for our world-renowned night time economy but also making a huge difference to people who want to travel around our city at night.”
