Flyer for Barnet Medieval Festival taking place on 10th and 11th June at Barnet Elizabethans RFC

Barnet Medieval Festival returns on the weekend of 10th-11th June 2023 (10.30am-5pm) and we look forward to welcoming local residents and visitors to the fifth annual Festival at Byng Road playing fields.

Tickets (Children £2, Adults £6) can be bought on the gate or in advance from our online shop.

The Festival will feature re-enactments of the Battle of Barnet 1471 (4pm) and the Second Battle of St Albans 1461 (noon) on both days, as well as displays by gunners, archers and mounted knights.

New this year will be a medieval fashion show and craft demonstrations for visitors to enjoy, in addition to the living history camp. Returning this year will be an exhibition of art by Graham Turner, who has created the wonderful painting on our poster, which depicts the Lancastrian commander Henry Holland, Duke of Exeter.

We are delighted to be joined by two groups of musicians, A Merrie Noyse and Myal Piper, who will be performing throughout the day.

Activities for children will include an interactive Battle of Barnet and the ever-popular have-a-go archery.

The Festival takes place at Barnet Elizabethans RFC, Byng Road, Barnet EN5 4NP; there is limited parking so please walk or cycle to the Festival if possible.
